Forget Bilderberg. Focus on the real problem: the UN

Yes, it’s that time of year again when the rich, the powerful, the influential gather together behind closed doors to talk about things they don’t want the rest of the world to know about while telling us not to worry, nothing to see here, move along.

If you don’t know the Bilderberg conference, let me give you some background.

It has taken place every year since 1954 and is officially about getting leaders in politics, business and the media from Europe and North America to talk to each other. This year 140 participants from 22 countries will meet behind closed doors in Telfs-Buchen, Austria.

Who is there?

* John R. Allen. He’s from the State Department and is Obama’s lead man on fighting ISIS.
* Ben van Beurden: He’s the CEO of
Royal Dutch Shell
* Andrew Coyne, lead Editor at
National Post

Also from the media, Zanny Minton Beddoes, editor of
The Economist. Eric Schmidt the CEO of Google will be there. Lots of current and former bankers, including Robert Zoellick, chairman of the board at Goldman Sachs.

All in all, a pretty impressive list of names and titles.

Some critics think of Bilderberg and the Bilderbergers (that’s what attendees are called) as some kind of shadow government. That this is the secret cabal that runs the world. These are pretty influential people, so it’s not crazy to think these meetings will hold some sway on public policy around the world.
On the agenda for the Bilderbergers

· Artificial Intelligence
· Cybersecurity
· Chemical Weapons Threats
· Current Economic Issues
· European Strategy
· Globalisation
· Greece
· Iran
· Middle East
· NATO
· Russia
· Terrorism
· United Kingdom
· USA
· US Elections

That’s a pretty extensive list of discussion topics for such a large group over three days.
And there is some talk among Bilderberg critics that attendees will really be discussing how to sell artificial intelligence, like Google’s ingestible ID microchips to the general public or that they will cement Hillary Clinton as their pick to win the US presidential election.

Look, I am sure there will be a lot of support for Hillary there and maybe even backroom deals to help her and hurt her rivals. I am sure Google’s ever creepy attempts to make Skynet real will be showcased and discussed. I am sure this informal, unelected group has an incredible amount of sway. But I’m not willing to go along with the idea that the Bilderbergers run the world.

I’m not ready to endorse the idea that there is a secret global government.

What I am worried about and have been for years is the very open attempt to set up a world government by the United Nations. This isn’t a conspiracy theory, they speak openly about it at every turn. Like his predecessors UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon attempts to lecture sovereign countries on how they should act. And the UN speaks openly about the need for a global tax to fund their programs.

The financial needs of developing countries have long outstripped the willingness and ability of donors to provide aid. Addressing this challenge, the “World Economic and Social Survey 2012: In Search of New Development Finance” (WESS 2012), proposes an international tax, combined with other innovative financing mechanisms, to raise more than $400 billion annually for development and global challenges such as fighting climate change. Beyond taxation the UN wants a say in how the world is run.

As the world becomes more interdependent, global governance, including global economic governance and the governance of the global commons, is increasingly relevant for achieving sustainable development.”

Who elects the people that run the United Nations?

Do you vote for a UN representative? I don’t. The UN is a collection of ambassadors and bureaucrats, many of them from some of the most repressive regimes in the world. Dictatorships are given as much of a vote as democracies at the UN, free countries are treated no better than repressive one.

If people are worried about creeping global government then the real target isn’t the Bilderbergers, or the people show up at places like Davos, it’s the United Nations, the ever expanding joke of an institution that supported Saudi Arabia holding a conference on religious discrimination while that country forbids houses of worship other than mosques.

Focus on the real problem and that problem isn’t meeting this week in Austria, it has a permanent home in New York City, put the focus on the UN.

If you want to know the evils of the Bilderberg Group, look no further than the following quotes from Bilderberg insiders and those who’ve studied the secretive cabal.

The world today has 6.8 billion people. That’s heading up to about nine billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care & reproductive health services, we could LOWER that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.” ― Bill Gates

If elitist groups like Bohemian Club, the CFR and the Bilderberg Group select and groom candidates to become Presidents of the US then isn’t it safe to assume they also dictate certain policies once their alumni are in the White House?” ― Lance Morcan, The Orphan Conspiracies: 29 Conspiracy Theories from The Orphan Trilogy

Bilderberg pulls the strings of every government and intelligence agency in the Western world.” ― James Morcan, The Ninth Orphan

Troops entered Los Angeles to restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an outside threat from beyond [i.e., an “extraterrestrial” invasion], whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the World Government.” – Dr. Henry Kissinger, Bilderberger Conference, Evians, France, 1991

Bilderberg’s modus operandi reinforced in his mind the complexity of the global hierarchy. He didn’t know if Omega controlled the Bilderberg Group or vice versa, but the situation reminded him that no matter how much anyone thought they knew about the New World Order elite, there were always higher levels in the plethora of secret societies and shadow organizations that ruled the planet.” ― James Morcan, The Ninth Orphan

We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years … It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination practiced in past centuries.” – David Rockefeller, Speaking at the June, 1991 Bilderberger meeting in Baden, Germany (a meeting also attended by then-Governor Bill Clinton and by Dan Quayle)

Nine had heard whisperings that the secretive Bilderberg Group was effectively the World Government, undermining democracy by influencing everything from nations’ political leaders to the venue for the next war. He recalled persistent rumors and confirmed media reports that the Bilderberg Group had such luminaries as Barack Obama, Prince Charles, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, Tony Blair, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George Bush Sr. and George W. Bush. Other Bilderberg members sprung forth from Nine’s memory bank. They included the founders and CEOs of various multinational corporations like Facebook, BP, Google, Shell and Amazon, as well as almost every major financial institution on the planet.” ― James Morcan, The Ninth Orphan

We are not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money.” – Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., in Foreign Affairs (July/August 1995)
