Asian Seafood Raised on Pig Feces Approved for U.S. Consumers
27% of the seafood Americans eat comes from China. Of that, much of it is rejected due to the conditions the food is in. According to Bloomberg Markets magazine, even though the FDA only inspects 2.7 percent of imported food, FDA inspectors rejected 1,380 loads of seafood from Vietnam and 820 loads of Chinese seafood since 2007. If all of this food is being rejected for filth and salmonella, it raises the question – why are we importing this food anyway?
